Background
The Fulton County Board of Commissioners is seeking proposals for lawn mowing services for various county-owned properties. The goal of this contract is to maintain the aesthetic and functional quality of these properties through regular lawn maintenance.
Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive lawn maintenance services, including:
- Mowing grass to a height not exceeding 3.5 inches.
- Removing and bagging debris before and after mowing.
- Line-trimming edges around trees and structures.
- Ensuring all sidewalks and roads are free of clippings.
- Reporting any damages to the Maintenance Supervisor.
The contractor must comply with traffic laws and safety regulations while performing these duties. Services will be conducted weekly, with potential increases in frequency based on seasonal demand. The contractor is responsible for all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for the completion of the work as specified in Exhibit A, which details specific locations including the Health Department & Detwiler Building, Courthouse Plaza, Fulton County Courthouse, Board of Elections, various vacant lots, and other county properties.
Period of Performance
The contract will commence no later than May 1, 2026, and will be in effect for one calendar year with two optional one-year renewals.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations throughout Fulton County, Ohio including Wauseon properties such as:
- Health Department & Detwiler Building at 604-606 S. Shoop Ave.
- Courthouse Plaza at 234 S. Fulton St.
- Other locations listed in Exhibit A.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit proposals in a sealed envelope marked '2026 LAWN MAINTENANCE BID' by April 7, 2026. They must provide a Certificate of Insurance with a minimum liability coverage of $1 million and proof of Workers’ Compensation Insurance prior to contract initiation. Additionally, bidders must complete several affidavits regarding non-collusion, non-discrimination, delinquent taxes, and findings for recovery.
