Background
The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is seeking to establish a contract for various parts, components, services, and applications related to the Connected Vehicle Environment/Ecosystem. This initiative aims to enhance transportation safety and efficiency through the integration of advanced vehicle communication technologies.

Work Details
The contract includes the provision of OEM or approved non-OEM repair parts compatible with existing materials. Vendors must supply various components for Dedicated Short Range Communications (DSRC) and Cellular-Vehicle-to-Everything (C-V2X) technologies. Specific items include:

1. Roadside Units (RSUs) that comply with IEEE standards and support multiple message sets including basic safety messages (BSM), signal phase and timing (SPaT), and traveler information messages (TIM).

2. On-Board Units (OBUs) that integrate with vehicle CAN bus data, provide alerts to drivers, and support secure communications.

3. Lidar units with specified vertical resolution, range, and field of view for traffic applications.

4. Installation services for RSUs and OBUs, including site surveys, configuration, testing, and maintenance training.

5. Development of connected vehicle applications that leverage real-time data for traffic information dissemination.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective for twelve (12) months from the date of award.

Place of Performance
All deliveries shall be made Free on Board (F.O.B.) to any of ODOT’s twelve districts and eighty-eight counties in the State of Ohio.
