Background
Huron County is issuing a solicitation for Construction Inspection and Construction Administration services for the Peru West Section Bridge Replacement Project. Work Details
The consultant will provide the following services:
- Construction administration duties including engineering and supervisory tasks, inspection, and materials management as per ODOT’s guidelines.
- Daily field engineering and inspection.
- Materials management including monitoring asphalt, concrete, and aggregate producers/suppliers, field testing, and documentation of materials management processes.
- Project documentation including daily diaries, monitoring project documentation, progress meetings, schedule tracking, contractor payment processing, change order negotiations, claims management, prevailing wage compliance monitoring, EEO contract compliance monitoring, final inspection and acceptance procedures.
- Specific personnel required include: Project Inspector 1 (1), Project Structures Inspector (1), Soils & Aggregate Inspector (1), Construction Engineer Level 1 (1), Documentation Clerk (1).
- Equipment needed includes a Nuclear Density Gauge and related tools as well as a Concrete Control Kit for various ASTM tests.

The anticipated period of performance is from August 2026 to December 2026.

Consultants must meet prequalification requirements set by ODOT for construction inspection activities. Only individuals (not firms) can be prequalified for these services. The prime consultant and all subconsultants providing engineering and design-related services must also be prequalified in Financial Management System Evaluation. Firms that are currently suspended or debarred are not eligible for selection.
