Background
Huron County is issuing a solicitation for construction inspection and administration services for the Peru West Section Bridge Replacement Project. The project involves the replacement of a three-span spread box beam bridge, with a total project length of approximately 800 feet. The estimated construction cost is $2,100,000. The selected consultant will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations throughout the project.

Work Details
The contractor will provide construction inspection and administration services, including:
- Daily field engineering and inspection
- Materials management, testing, and certification
- Documentation of quantities and completed work
- Claims management
- Prevailing wage compliance monitoring
- EEO contract compliance monitoring.

Specific personnel required include:
- Project Inspector 1
- Project Structures Inspector
- Soils and Aggregate Inspector
- Construction Engineer Level 1.

Additionally, the consultant must ensure that all personnel meet ODOT prequalification categories as outlined in the solicitation.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence in August 2026 and conclude in December 2026.

Bidder Requirements
Consultants must be prequalified by the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) in relevant categories. Only individuals (not firms) are eligible for construction inspection activities. Firms on the federal list of suspended or debarred firms are not eligible for selection. Compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 is required.
