West Campus Quad Design Services

Background
The State University of New York (SUNY) at Oswego is seeking qualifications from experienced design firms for the renovation of the West Campus Quad, which serves approximately 1,100 students living in nearby residence halls.

The project aims to enhance the functionality, inclusivity, and aesthetic appeal of the quad to improve student engagement and social interaction. The renovation will be guided by a program study that includes stakeholder engagement and design recommendations.

Work Details
The scope of services includes:
- Site Analysis: Assessing current conditions, identifying accessibility issues, and evaluating student usage patterns.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Conducting outreach to gather input from students, faculty, and staff.
- Design Recommendations: Providing three conceptual design frameworks with options for reconfiguring the space, incorporating sustainable practices and durable materials.
- Program and Budget Planning: Developing a phased implementation plan with estimated costs for each design option.
- Timeline and Deliverables: Creating a timeline for the study with key milestones and providing a final report with findings and visual aids.

Period of Performance
The anticipated contract award is in August 2025, with a construction timeline to be determined based on the findings of the program study. The overall contract term is set for three years.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at SUNY Oswego, located at Culkin Hall, 72 Sweet Road, Oswego, NY 13126.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must meet specific participation goals: 15% for Minority-Owned Business Enterprises (MBE), 15% for Women-Owned Business Enterprises (WBE), and 6% for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOB).

Additionally, bidders are required to submit various forms including a Subconsultant Staffing List and an EEO policy statement.
