The Finger Lakes DDSO is soliciting bids for a Sewage Pump Replacement at our Wells-Curtice IRA located at 5580 Wells Curtice Rd, Canandaigua, NY 14424. Contractor will be responsible to attend the mandatory site visit to take place on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 @ 10:00am to verify knowledge of the area for which service is being requested prior to bid submission. Bids will not be accepted before the site visit or from vendors that do not attend this site visit. Vendors may also be disqualified from bidding if they arrive late to the site visit.
This is a NYS public works project, and prevailing wages must be paid.
When submitting a bid to the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) for Article 8 public work contracts, bidders must provide their NYSDOL registration number in the designated space on the bid form and submit their Certificate of Registration. Failure to provide a valid and verifiable registration number from the NYSDOL Registry and Certificate of Registration at the time of bid submission will result in disqualification of the bid. Background
The Finger Lakes Developmental Disabilities Service Office (DDSO) is soliciting bids for a sewage pump replacement project at the Wells-Curtice IRA located at 5580 Wells Curtice Rd, Canandaigua, NY 14424.
This project is part of the agency's commitment to maintaining facilities that support individuals with developmental disabilities.
The goal of the contract is to replace an existing sewage pump and ensure compliance with New York State public works regulations, including the payment of prevailing wages.
Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for replacing a Goulds 3-inch discharge pump (model: Goulds 3SD52F1DA, 1.5 HP) supplied by the customer.
The scope of work includes:
1. Installation of the new pump.
2. Replacement of rotted chains with stainless steel chains.
3. Replacement of a rotted electrical box to meet applicable electrical codes.
4. Replacement of any defective floats.
5. Excavation outside the pit as necessary for installation.
6. Compliance with confined space regulations during work execution.
All labor and materials necessary for completion must be included in the bid price, along with disposal fees and site cleanup after each workday.
Period of Performance
The contract term is set for thirty (30) days after completion of the project, which must be completed within 90 days of receiving the purchase order.

The work will be performed at 5580 Wells Curtice Rd, Canandaigua, NY 14424, Ontario County.
Bidder Requirements

Contractors must also maintain appropriate insurance coverage as specified in the solicitation and are required to pay prevailing wages as per Article 8 public works regulations.
