Background
The Governors Island Corporation, doing business as The Trust for Governors Island, is seeking a qualified web studio to redesign its website. This redesign aims to reflect the Island’s diverse programs and initiatives while providing ongoing development, maintenance, and support. The Trust's mission is to maximize the potential of Governors Island as a public resource focused on art, culture, recreation, and climate education.
Work Details
The selected contractor will be responsible for:
1) Redesigning the Governors Island website to enhance user experience and reflect current offerings;
2) Creating a mobile-compatible site that increases digital audience engagement and accessibility in compliance with WCAG;
3) Developing an interactive digital map of the Island;
4) Improving backend efficiency and navigation;
5) Providing ongoing technical support, site hosting services, analytics, and proactive upgrades post-redesign.
The project includes evaluating existing digital infrastructure (Craft CMS, Mailchimp, Salesforce) and ensuring all tools work cohesively.
Period of Performance
The contract will be for two years with three optional one-year extensions at the Trust's discretion.
Place of Performance
The work will primarily take place in New York City as it pertains to the Governors Island website.
Bidder Requirements
Respondents must identify if they or any proposed sub-consultants are Locally Based Enterprises (LBE) or Women and Minority-owned Businesses (MWBE). They are encouraged to include LBE’s and MWBE’s as sub-consultants in their proposals.
