Background
The Village of Fort Edward is issuing a contract for water system improvements aimed at replacing the existing water storage tank and upgrading the booster pump station. Work Details
The project consists of two main contracts:
Contract 1 – General Construction involves furnishing and installing a new 200,000-gallon nominal pedesphere water storage tank. This includes site preparation and grading, installation of a concrete tank foundation, inlet/outlet piping, a new water main to the tank, a tank mixer, level transducer, cathodic protection system, lightning protection system, tank accessories and appurtenances, construction of a gravel access road, chain link fence and gate, and all associated site improvements. The new tank must be filled, disinfected, and tested as per project specifications. Following successful commissioning of the new tank, the existing water storage tank will be decommissioned and demolished. Additionally, modifications and upgrades to the existing booster pump station (excluding electrical work) are included.
Contract 2 – Electrical Construction requires furnishing and installing all electrical work related to the new water storage tank and modifications to the booster pump station. This includes electrical service to the tank, conduits and wiring for various systems (tank mixer, level transducer, cathodic protection system), interior/exterior lighting for the tank, connections/modifications for booster pump station upgrades, integration of SCADA control components for remote monitoring/control of both systems, coordination with General Construction Contractor for equipment installation, as well as all necessary testing and commissioning to ensure functionality.
Period of Performance
Work shall be substantially completed by April 30th, 2027. Final restoration must be completed by December 31st, 2027.

The contract will be performed in the Northeast Quadrant of the Village of Fort Edward, New York.
Bidder Requirements
There are no Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside requirements. However, there is a total MWBE participation goal of 20%. Bidders must comply with New York State Department of Labor Prevailing Wage Rate Schedule and conditions of employment.
