Village of Portville Cattaraugus County, NY Sanitary Sewer System Improvements Project

Background
The Village of Portville, located in Cattaraugus County, NY, is seeking bids for the Sanitary Sewer System Improvements Project. The project aims to enhance the sanitary sewer infrastructure and wastewater treatment facility to ensure efficient waste management and compliance with environmental standards.

Work Details
The project includes two contracts: Contract No. 1A - General Construction and Contract No. 1B - Electrical Construction.

Under Contract No. 1A, the work involves rehabilitation or replacement of several sanitary sewer manholes and sections of sewer main, as well as improvements to the Village’s wastewater treatment facility (WWTF). Specific tasks include:
- Cured-in-place pipe lining
- Various manhole rehabilitation methods such as cementitious coating, patching voids, joint sealing, rise installation
- Replacement of existing sewer main with PVC pipe
- Replacement of existing manholes with precast concrete manholes.

Improvements at the WWTF include installation of a headworks screen, a new influent pump station, a new influent metering vault, and enhancements to the effluent pump station. Contract No. 1B focuses on electrical improvements at the WWTF for the new influent headworks, pump station, and flow meter.

Bidder Requirements
This project does not have a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside. Bidders must comply with federal requirements including the Davis-Bacon Act and Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA) provisions.
