Village of Lindenhurst DPW- Site Work

Background
The Incorporated Village of Lindenhurst, located in Suffolk County, New York, is soliciting sealed bids for the general construction proposal for site work elements of a new Department of Public Works (DPW) building. The goal of this contract is to facilitate the construction and installation of various site work components necessary for the new facility.

Work Details
The contract encompasses overall site work including: cut excavation, regrading and compacting; installation of concrete curbs and walkways; bollard installation; milling and resurfacing existing asphalt paving; asphalt paving; painting for parking designations; installation of site lighting and signage.

The contractor will also be responsible for stormwater drain protection, erosion control measures, installation of vehicle bumpers, ADA markings, and connections to the new DPW building's electrical panel. Additionally, an alternate bid for a 25' x 130' concrete apron in front of the DPW building's overhead garage doors is required.

Period of Performance
The work must commence within seven days after the delivery of a signed contract and is expected to be completed within a timeframe specified by the bidder in their proposal. Stoppage of work for more than thirty days will be considered a breach.

The site work will be performed at 121 Albany Avenue, Lindenhurst, New York 11757.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide proof of necessary licenses and insurance as required by local laws. They must submit a non-collusion affidavit, bid security amounting to 5% of the base bid, and comply with all federal, state, county, and local regulations.
