Background
The Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES and Component School Districts require cooperative ice cream and frozen desserts. This initiative is authorized by General Municipal Law Section 119-o, aiming to establish a contract with vendors to set prices for these items for the specified contract term. The BOCES serves a four-county region and supports 25 component school districts, providing various educational services.

Work Details
The contract involves supplying ice cream and frozen desserts, including Smart Snack Approved Items and other miscellaneous items. Vendors must provide nutrient data for food items not listed in the National Nutrient Database for Child Nutrition Program. All products must comply with New York State regulations regarding ice cream and frozen desserts, including standards for milk-fat content, overrun, and bacterial counts.

Additionally, vendors are required to provide freezer cabinets for storage at participating schools, maintain them in good condition, and ensure timely deliveries of products in suitable containers.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective from August 1, 2025, to July 31, 2026. It may be extended for two additional twelve-month terms upon mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
Deliveries will be made to various school districts within the Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES region.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate experience and capability in meeting the contract requirements. They must provide evidence of financial stability and sufficient stock to handle orders. Vendors must also comply with the Buy American provision, ensuring that products are domestically sourced unless exceptions apply.

Additionally, bidders must have a written policy addressing sexual harassment prevention in the workplace.
