Background
Farmingdale State College (SUNY) is soliciting bids for one (1) single-engine training airplane to serve the needs of its Aviation Department.

The Aviation Center at Farmingdale State College, located at Republic Airport, is the largest collegiate flight school in the Northeast Region and offers a 4-year degree program in Aeronautical Science.

The facility averages 5,800 flight hours a year and conducts numerous FAA certification rides and student checks monthly.

Work Details
The contract requires the provision of one used single-engine airplane with specific mandatory specifications:
- **Airframe Requirements**:
- Category: 2005 or newer Piper Single Engine, Non-Fiberglass Aircraft, Tricycle style landing gear with nose wheel.
- Class: Single Engine Land (SEL) certified under 14 CFR Part 23 (VFR/IFR).
- Minimum of three seats.
- Cockpit must accommodate pilots from under 5 feet to over 6 feet, four inches without CG issues.

- **Engine Requirements**:
- Lycoming engine with a minimum of 180 horsepower or equivalent model.
- Engine must be fuel injected.

- **Avionics Requirements**:
- Must meet FAA’s Technically Advanced Aircraft (TAA) requirements.
- Garmin G-1000 or similar glass cockpit display with integrated instrumentation and redundant backup instruments.
- Electronic standby instruments required.
- VOR/LOC/GS/GPS/WAAS capability needed.
- ADS-B In and Out equipped.

- **Other Requirements**:
- Airplane must pass an inspection by a Farmingdale State College designated representative prior to purchase.

Period of Performance
The contract is for a one-time purchase order, with proposals due by May 12, 2025, at 11:00 AM.

The airplane will be delivered to Farmingdale State College located at Republic Airport, Farmingdale, NY.
