Background
The University at Buffalo is seeking proposals for the replacement and upgrade of the video/scoreboard and accompanying systems at UB Stadium. The goal of this project is to enhance the audio-visual experience for fans and improve operational efficiency. This will address current issues with delays in booting and audio quality degradation. The University aims to provide a state-of-the-art scoreboard that meets modern standards and can withstand environmental conditions.
Work Details
The successful bidder will be required to provide a complete turnkey solution, including:
- Removal of existing scoreboard components while retaining concrete footers.
- Installation of a new scoreboard that fits within existing infrastructure, ensuring it can withstand weather conditions.
- Provision of all necessary equipment, including cables, fasteners, connectors, wiring, control room updates, and a new audio system compatible with the scoreboard.
- The audio system must deliver clear sound throughout the stadium and include features such as a life safety evacuation system and intercom capabilities.
- Video elements must provide high-quality HD/UHD resolution visible from all seating areas, with capabilities for video replays, team spirit animations, and customizable content templates.
- A five-year on-site break/fix warranty on all components is required.
- A Service Level Agreement (SLA) for game-day support must be provided.
Period of Performance
The contract term is five years, with completion of installation required by July 1, 2025.
