Transportation Software

Binghamton University is seeking a comprehensive transportation software solution designed to deliver real-time bus tracking and transit information to its campus community, including students, faculty, and staff.

The work required under this contract includes:

• Providing live vehicle location services
• Route visualization and mapping
• Estimated bus arrival times
• Service alerts and transit communication tools
• Mobile and/or web-based platform accessibility
• Integration with University identification card technology for capturing and analyzing rider boarding activity via ID card tap functionality
• Collection, processing, and reporting of ridership and operational data (such as passenger counts by bus, route, stop, date, and time period)

The software's data and analytics will be used by the University and/or its transportation service provider to support operational planning, route optimization, scheduling analysis, service efficiency improvements, mapping, reporting, and long-term transportation planning. The platform must be scalable, reliable, user-friendly, and capable of enhancing the campus transit experience while providing actionable transportation data and reporting.

This solicitation is issued by Binghamton University, operating under the State University of New York (SUNY) system.

This procurement is being conducted under SUNY's discretionary authority, pursuant to NYS Education Law 355(5)(a), for the specified commodity/product or service. A sealed bid process will not be held.
