Background
The Town of North Hempstead is seeking qualified contractors to bid on Pool Chemicals, and the service, maintenance, repair and equipment replacement of Pools and Pool Equipment throughout the Town. The contract term is for two years with an option to renew for two additional one year periods on the same terms and conditions, including price.
The bid must be fully and properly executed by an authorized person. The work under this bid is subject to prevailing wage as per NY State labor law, article 8.
Work Details
The Town of North Hempstead requires pool chemicals and related supplies, repairs and maintenance services for pools at various locations throughout the town. The contractor must be able to provide skilled, experienced, and prompt service for troubleshooting, servicing, repairing, general maintenance, installation and replacement of pools and pool equipment.
Additionally, the Town provides Certified Pool Operator Training to its Pool Facility Staff on an annual basis and is seeking a vendor to provide training to and certify Town staff. The contractor must also supply various pool facilities and types of equipment as specified in the bid document.
Period of Performance
The bid will be valid for two years from the date of award, with the option to renew for two additional one year periods on the same terms and conditions, including price. The Town may extend any term for a period of up to 90 days.

The geographic location(s) where the contract will be performed or where the product(s) will be delivered is throughout the Town of North Hempstead.
