Background
The New York Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) is seeking to retain four professional Construction Management / Administration teams to provide services on a term contracting basis for various State Park Regions including Allegany, Genesee, Niagara (Western District), Central, Finger Lakes, Thousand Islands (Midstate District), Taconic, Palisades, and Saratoga (Hudson District).
The goal of this contract is to enhance the management and execution of construction projects within these regions.
Work Details
The services to be provided include:
1. **Preconstruction Services**: Cost estimating, pre-construction testing services, constructability reviews, and value engineering with a focus on developing successful bid strategies.
2. **Construction Phase Services**: Project management, maintaining project budgets and schedules, managing submittals and project safety, construction inspection and testing services, and updating/maintaining as-built plans.
3. **Post-Construction Phase Services**: Project close-out including compiling and submitting as-built plans and operations manuals, claims negotiation, and settlement.
Typical projects may involve utility work, beach area improvements, park buildings (restrooms, visitor centers, bathhouses, picnic shelters), roads and trails, and general site work.
Period of Performance
The contract term is 60 months from the date of approval by the Office of the State Comptroller. Work order assignments will be issued for a period of three years after contract execution with an additional two years reserved for completing assignments issued during the initial three years.
Place of Performance
The contract will be performed across multiple counties in New York State including but not limited to Albany, Allegany, Broome, Cattaraugus, Cayuga, Chautauqua, Chemung, Chenango, Clinton, Columbia, Cortland, Delaware, Dutchess, Erie, Essex, Franklin, Fulton, Genesee, Greene, Hamilton, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Livingston, Madison, Monroe, Montgomery.
