Description

Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is soliciting competitive proposals from qualified Bidders to perform as needed general construction trade services on its campus. The campus is comprised of hospital, research laboratories and office facilities. Services may include demolition and construction of ceilings, walls, floors, doors, infection control barriers and other similar general construction tasks. All Bidders must meet or exceed the requirements contained within the RFP, industry standards, and all federal, state and local laws, ordinances and regulations. Response to this RFP, alone, does not guarantee the Bidder(s) will be awarded the contract described herein.

As a result of this RFP, Roswell Park may award multiple zero-dollar term contracts to the successful Bidder(s) to provide the proposed services. Contractors will sign an agreement for a three (3) year initial term which shall automatically renew for three (3) successive one (1) year renewal terms unless written notice of nonrenewal by Roswell Park is given at least thirty (30) days prior to the expiration of the Term.

Background
Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, located in Buffalo, New York, is a public benefit corporation founded in 1898 with a mission to understand, prevent, and cure cancer. The center provides a comprehensive array of inpatient and outpatient cancer treatment services. It is seeking competitive proposals for general construction services on its campus, which includes hospital, research laboratories, and office facilities.

Work Details
The contractor will provide general construction trade services as needed on the Roswell Park campus. Services include but are not limited to:
- Demolition and construction of ceilings, walls, floors, doors
- Installation and maintenance of infection control barriers
- Drywall work (removal, installation, finishing)
- Door/frame work (removal, installation)
- Flooring work (removal, installation)
- Ceiling work (removal, installation)
- Millwork work (removal, installation)
- Handyman services for repairs and maintenance

The contractor will be responsible for procuring all materials and labor necessary for the execution of these services.

Period of Performance
The contract will have an initial term of three years with the possibility of three additional one-year renewal terms. It may be extended unless written notice of non-renewal is provided by Roswell Park at least thirty days prior to expiration.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed on the Roswell Park campus located in Buffalo, NY.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with M/WBE participation goals of 30% and a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business contracting goal of 6%. They must also demonstrate a minimum of three years' experience in providing general construction trade services in similar facilities. Additionally, all personnel must have completed OSHA 10 training or be able to complete it within ninety days after award.
