Background
The Hudson Valley Developmental Disabilities Services Office (DDSO) is issuing a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the renovation of the Tall Oaks II bathroom located at 238 Tall Oaks Drive, Middletown, NY 10940.
The goal of this contract is to perform necessary renovations to improve the facility while adhering to New York State labor laws and ensuring the safety and comfort of residents during the project.
Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor and materials necessary to complete the following scope of work:
1. Demolish all floors down to subfloor, walls, and ceiling in the shower area down to bare studs, including vanity and pantry.
2. Install two-piece floor drains and Oatey QuickDrain showerline drain body as per attached drawings.
3. Replace existing toilet with a new Gerber Viper 1.28gpf two-piece compact elongated Ergoheight toilet in white.
4. Relocate ductwork to an interior wall between the toilet and shower area as indicated in drawings.
5. Relocate shower body using T13420 Delta trim kit with Delta R10000 series valve body according to drawings.
6. Apply Redgard waterproofing membrane on plywood subfloor followed by Sherwin Williams 5115 mortar blend aggregate base sloped to floor drains, then apply Sherwin-Williams Resuflor Aqua 3460 epoxy flooring up to six inches above finished floor along base of walls.
7. Install Durock on wall studs and ceiling, with Z-channel abutting the lip of epoxy coating, followed by installation of Transolid rigid wall panels supplied by HVDDSO from Z-channel to ceiling using silicone for adhesion and caulking at joints.
8. Mud, tape, and finish ceiling with white ceiling paint.
9. Replace vanity and pantry in kind including faucet and new supply and drain lines.
Period of Performance
The work must be completed within 30 days of receiving the purchase order.
