Sunmount DDSO 8 Tamarack Exterior Painting Project

Background
The Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) is soliciting quotes for the 8 Tamarack Exterior Painting Project at Sunmount DDSO, located in Tupper Lake, NY. This project aims to enhance the appearance and maintenance of the facility, which serves individuals with developmental disabilities. The procurement opportunity is specifically limited to New York State Small Businesses, including those certified as Minority or Woman Owned Businesses (MWBE) or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOB).

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor and materials necessary for the exterior painting of the 8 Tamarack house and shed. The scope of work includes:

- Scraping loose paint
- Pressure washing the exterior
- Preparing surfaces for painting (including repairs and caulking)
- Applying one coat of primer and two coats of exterior paint (color to be determined by OPWDD staff)
- Priming and painting all metal exterior doors and frames
- Ensuring compliance with OSHA standards
- Cleaning up paint debris
- Scheduling a quality control inspection upon completion.

All work must adhere to NYS Public Works Project regulations, including payment of prevailing wages and submission of certified payrolls.

Period of Performance
The contract term is set for 1 year, with work to be completed within 30 days of receiving an Authorized Purchase Order.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Sunmount DDSO, located at 2445 State Route 30, Tupper Lake, NY 12986. The project site is in a secure area where an escort will be provided.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be responsible and qualified New York State Small Businesses certified as MWBE or SDVOB. A copy of certification documents must be submitted with quotes. Contractors are required to provide Certificate of Liability insurance ($1 million/$2 million aggregate), Workers Compensation Insurance, and NYS Disability Insurance. Smoking is prohibited on site.
