Stone Fill

Background
The County of Steuben is seeking competitive bids for the provision of Stone Fill as part of its public works initiatives. The contract aims to furnish and deliver stone fill materials in compliance with New York State Department of Transportation standards. This solicitation is issued by the Public Works Committee and the Commissioner of Public Works to ensure that the county can meet its construction and maintenance needs effectively.

Work Details
The contract involves two categories of stone fill:

1. Category A - Stone Fill; FOB Plant Site: The awardee will furnish and load stone fill onto County trucks at the awardee’s plant site.

2. Category B - Stone Fill; Quadrant Bid Section: The awardee will deliver stone fill to specified sites within designated quadrants in Steuben County. The types of stone fill include Light, Medium, Heavy, Dry Rip Rap, Extra Heavy Rip Rap/Stackable, and Clean Oversize Rock Fill, with specific pricing required for each type on a per ton basis. Delivery must be included in the bid price, defined as 'In Toto Price Bid per Ton'.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on January 1, 2026, and conclude on December 31, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at various locations within Steuben County, New York, specifically within designated quadrants for delivery.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit a fully executed original bid bond in the amount of $1,000 or an equivalent certified check or bank-issued letter of credit. They are also required to comply with New York State Labor Law regarding prevailing wages and must provide documentation confirming compliance with insurance requirements. Additionally, bidders must submit a Non-Collusive Bidding Certificate and an Iranian Energy Sector Divestment Certification with their bid.
