Spring 2026 Mobile LiDAR Data Collection

Work Requested:
The contract requires the collection of Mobile LiDAR data for multiple projects throughout New York State. The work involves:

• Utilizing laser scanner(s), Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), and an Inertial Measurement System mounted on a vehicle to collect LiDAR data.
• Conducting data collection at posted State highway speeds to minimize impact on traffic.
• Operating without the need to establish survey control, as NYSDOT will provide survey control for existing targets on each project.

Who is Requesting:
This solicitation is issued by the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT).

Background:
NYSDOT is seeking competitive bids for Mobile LiDAR Data Collection services to support various transportation projects across the state. The purpose is to gather accurate geospatial data while ensuring minimal disruption to traffic flow.

Contract Requirements:

• Subcontracting is NOT permitted; all work must be performed by the awarded vendor.
• Pre-qualification of bidders is mandatory. Interested vendors must obtain prequalified status before bidding.
