Background
The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) is issuing a Request for Quotation (RFQ) 522149 for the installation of vinyl composition (V/C) floor tile in apartments located in the Queensbridge South neighborhood of Queens, NY. This contract is part of a series of seven requirement contracts aimed at improving housing conditions within various developments. The goal is to ensure timely and efficient installation of flooring materials in both occupied and vacant apartments.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the installation of V/C floor tile in apartments, specifically:
1. Installation of V/C tile in move-out apartments across various room configurations:
- 2 Rooms: 96 units
- 3 Rooms: 207 units
- 4 Rooms: 154 units
- 5 Rooms: 88 units

2. Installation of V/C tile in occupied apartments:
- 2 Rooms: 18 units
- 3 Rooms: 36 units
- 4 Rooms: 28 units
- 5 Rooms: 15 units

3. Removal of non-asbestos containing floor coverings, including but not limited to vinyl composition floor tile, linoleum, self-adhesive floor tile, carpet, ceramic floor tile, and wood flooring in unoccupied apartments (7,500 square feet).

4. Removal and replacement of vinyl cove base in complete individual rooms or areas within an apartment (6,720 linear feet).

Period of Performance
The contract term is set for three years from the award date established on NYCHA's Blanket Purchase Order or the issuance of the Notice to Proceed Order. NYCHA has the option to extend the contract for up to two additional one-year renewal periods.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at various delivery points within the Queensbridge South development located in Queens, New York.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered with the New York State Department of Labor under Article 8, Section 220-i of the New York State Labor Law. Additionally, bidders must pre-qualify as an 'Approved Supplier' via NYCHA's Tile Pre-Qualification List (PQL) and submit Section 3 Resident Economic Opportunity (REO) Plans via eComply before the bid submission deadline. No bid security is required.
