The New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) is issuing a Request for Quotes (RFQ) for the Sidney Roof Replacement project at the Broome Developmental Disabilities Services Office (DDSO). This project aims to replace the entire roof system over a residence and install gutter leaf guards, ensuring compliance with NYS Public Works standards and prevailing wage requirements.
Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor and materials necessary to complete the following scope of work:
1. Remove the existing asphalt shingle roofing system down to the wood decking, replacing any damaged decking.
2. Install a new 30-year asphalt shingle roofing system, including all flashings, underlayment, ice barriers, venting, and accessories.
3. Replace exhaust vent covers as per existing specifications.
4. Replace drip edges at all eaves and gables.
5. Flash all penetrations and replace ridge vents on all ridges while ensuring soffits are vented along the eave line.
6. Install maintenance-free gutter leaf guards on existing gutters around the house.
7. Install new siding on the north-facing gable end of the dormer that matches current house colors and style.
All work must comply with NYS Building codes and be warrantied for defects for one year post-completion.
