Background
The State University of New York at Stony Brook (SUNY) is issuing this solicitation to obtain proposals for maintenance and repair services for PBSC bicycles and stations located on Stony Brook University's Main Campus.
The goal of this contract is to ensure the operational efficiency and safety of the bike share program, which includes fourteen hardwired stations and ninety-eight PBSC 'Iconic' model bicycles.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor and services necessary for the maintenance, programming, and repair of PBSC bicycles and stations. Specific tasks include:
- Regular inspections of bicycles and stations for signs of damage or wear.
- Testing all docking points and kiosks to ensure operability.
- Diagnosing and replacing damaged parts from the bike share inventory.
- Maintaining service reports detailing repairs made during each shift.
- Conducting preventative maintenance on bicycles that have not been serviced in over ninety days.
- Keeping a detailed inventory report of bike share parts located in the repair room.
- Monitoring the status of bicycles and stations using the PBSC-provided COMET platform, responding quickly to errors as they arise.

Period of Performance
The contract term is five years, with work estimated to begin on or about July 1, 2025.

Place of Performance
All work will be performed on Stony Brook University's Main Campus, specifically across its West and South Campus.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide documentation certifying their company has experience with bike share programs for at least three years, including references from similar projects. They must also demonstrate certification by PBSC or a similar provider for maintaining and repairing bike share bicycles. Subcontracting any portion of work is not permitted.
