Background
The Town of Salem is seeking to procure an engineering firm to provide consulting, design, grant administration, and construction oversight for the Salem Pedestrian Connections project. This project aims to enhance pedestrian access along Main Street and improve connections to Municipal Parking and Old Village Park. The work is federally funded and aligns with the Town's mission to improve community infrastructure and accessibility.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for:

1. Preliminary and final design services including preparation of the Design Approval Document, right-of-way survey and mapping, property deed research, public utilities development, traffic maintenance during construction, and submission of final plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E).

2. Construction support which includes providing technical assistance during construction, aiding in bid proceedings, analyzing bids, and reviewing shop drawings.

3. On-site construction inspection to ensure quality control and compliance with final plans and specifications.

Period of Performance
The anticipated start date for final design services is June 2025, with a contract term of 2 years.
