Sale and Removal of Surplus Microscopes

Background
Nassau Community College, a unit of The State University of New York sponsored by Nassau County, is inviting sealed bids for the sale and removal of surplus microscopes. The College aims to sell its surplus equipment under the terms and conditions defined in the solicitation documents.

Work Details
The contract involves the sale and removal of a total of 19 surplus microscopes, including:
- 15 Nikon Eclipse E200 models
- 1 Nikon 219203 model
- 1 Alltion L1100a model
- 1 Bausch & Lomb microscope
- 1 Ken-A-Vision microscope.

The successful bidder must ensure the safe removal of all microscopes from their current location without assistance from College employees or use of College equipment. All expenses related to the removal are the responsibility of the successful bidder. The equipment is sold 'as is' and 'where is', without any warranty or guarantee. The bidder must coordinate the removal timeline with the College to minimize disruption but must complete it within ten days from the date of the Bill of Sale.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon acceptance of the bid and payment, with a maximum timeline for removal set at ten days after the Bill of Sale is issued.

Bidder Requirements
No Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside is required. Bidders must submit their bids in sealed envelopes with specific information including Name/Address of Bidder, Bid Number, Title, and Bid Opening Date and Time. Payment must be made via certified check or money order before equipment removal; cash or personal checks are not accepted.
