Roof Skylights Cover and Seal Installation-Warehouse

Background
The Albany Port District Commission (APDC) is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for the installation of roof skylights cover and seal at the warehouse located at the Port of Albany, 106 Smith Blvd, Albany, NY 12202.

The APDC's mission is to manage the Port effectively while driving economic development in the Capital Region. This project aims to improve operational effectiveness and minimize support costs.

Work Details
The contract involves covering and sealing 15 existing skylights on the Mohawk Building Roof, which is a facility used for storing paper materials. Each skylight measures 10 ft x 30 ft, and the work includes:

1) Removing mullion covers, glass, and ridge cap from each skylight;
2) Installing ¾” PT plywood over each skylight opening;
3) Fabricating ridge caps and corners from .050 Mill Finish Aluminum;
4) Mechanically attaching ½” HD Iso board to the plywood;
5) Gluing 060 EPDM to ensure watertight seals;
6) Ensuring all work complies with New York State Labor Law regarding prevailing wages.

Period of Performance
The contract term will extend through job completion, with proposals due by June 23, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Port of Albany located at 106 Smith Blvd, Albany, NY 12202.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with New York State Executive Law Article 15-A regarding participation of certified minority- and women-owned businesses (MWBEs). There are no specific set-aside requirements for this contract. Bidders are encouraged to make good faith efforts to include MWBEs in their proposals. A performance bond of 5% is required upon contract execution.
