Roof Replacement - Route 82

Background
The New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) is issuing a solicitation for a roof replacement project at their facility located at 1468 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533. The goal of this contract is to ensure the integrity and safety of the building by replacing the existing roofing system with a new one that meets specified standards.

This project falls under New York State Public Works regulations, which require adherence to prevailing wage laws.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1. Removal of existing shingles down to the original decking.
2. Replacement of decking and fascia (aluminum wrapped, color matched) where necessary with appropriate size and grade materials.
3. Installation of 6 feet of ice and water shield on eaves and 3 feet on rakes and valleys.
4. Installation of new synthetic underlayment, drip edge, flashing, counterflashing, pipe boots, exhaust vents, starter shingles, and 30-year architectural shingles, ridge vent, and chimney flashing.
5. All shingles must be installed using a high wind nailing pattern.
6. Shingles shall be supplied in the color 'Cedar'.

Each bid must include two parts: a price for roof tear-off and replacement; and a price per piece for installed new fascia, aluminum wrapping, and plywood decking if they need replacement during the project.

Period of Performance
Work is to be completed within 45 days of award unless modified.
