Background
The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation (OPRHP) is seeking proposals from qualified engineering and architectural firms to provide professional design services for Building 93 at Nissequogue River State Park.
This project aims to assess existing conditions and prepare necessary technical studies and design deliverables to support regulatory review and planning for the future of the building, which has been vacant since the early 1990s and is in a deteriorated state. The building is eligible for listing on the State and National Registers of Historic Places, highlighting its historical significance.
Work Details
The selected consultant will lead a multi-disciplinary team to provide services including:
- Hazardous materials assessment and abatement, including asbestos, lead-based paint, and PCB-containing materials.
