RFP For On-Call Legal Services

Background
The Hudson River Park Trust is a New York State public benefit corporation responsible for the planning, design, development, construction, operation, and maintenance of Hudson River Park. The Trust aims to enhance public access to the Hudson River and promote water-based recreation while preserving the natural, cultural, and historic aspects of the area.

This Request for Proposals (RFP) seeks to pre-qualify law firms to provide on-call legal services in various areas of law over a five-year period starting March 1, 2025.

Work Details
The selected law firms will provide legal services in the following areas:

- Real estate (including commercial leasing, property dispositions, landlord/tenant issues)
- Construction (contract review and drafting, dispute resolution)
- Environmental law (regulatory compliance, environmental impact assessments)
- Land use (zoning advice and representation in disputes)
- Labor and employment (internal employee matters, labor relations)
- Trademark/copyright (registration and infringement disputes)
- Regulatory compliance (corporate governance and compliance with public authorities law).

Specific tasks include negotiating and drafting leases, assisting with real estate transactions, advising on construction contracts, and representing the Trust in litigation matters including employment disputes.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on or about March 1, 2025, with a term of up to five years.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed primarily in New York State.
