Background
The City of Yonkers is seeking proposals for consulting services and project management related to Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations. The goal of this contract is to support the expansion of the City’s electric vehicle fleet and charging infrastructure through comprehensive planning, implementation, and management services.
Work Details
The contractor will provide on-call fleet electrification transition planning, implementation, and management services. Key components include:
1. EV charging station site identification: Recommend locations for EV charging station installation for the City’s fleet and public charging. Deliver a detailed load profile at each location based on recommended chargers.
2. Feasibility Assessments and Planning: Conduct site visits to determine feasibility for charging infrastructure.
3. Site Surveys and Site Assessments: Conduct surveys for level 2 and level 3 DC fast charging equipment for fleet workplace and public charging.
4. Planning, Designing and Engineering: Provide engineering support for design and construction, including review of design drawings, cost estimates, and construction issue assessments.
5. Strategic roadmap development: Create a strategic plan for the implementation of EV infrastructure.
6. Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) assessments: Analyze the overall costs associated with the EV infrastructure.
Period of Performance
The contract term is three years with an option for two additional years.
Place of Performance
The services will be performed across all counties in New York State.
