Description

The third party will supply a MOD dispatch system with hardware, software to provide a platform to create itineraries and dispatch vehicles in real-time. The third-party will provide access to a trip itinerary platform that can accept on-demand reservations from members of the general public via personal cellular device, or via a vendor reservationist, and using an administered dispatch platform. TCAT, Inc. envisions an easily scalable software that integrates fully automated scheduling, dispatching, and reservation system for a demand-responsive service.

TCAT, Inc. desires to launch the service in Summer/Fall 2024.

TCAT, Inc. will award a contract to the successful Proposer, in alignment with the IETA project contract with NYSERDA.

Background
TCAT, Inc. (Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit, Inc.) is a not-for-profit corporation that provides public transportation for Tompkins County, a rural county in upstate New York of approximately 105,000 residents. TCAT serves over 4.1 million passenger trips every year, traveling more than 1.5 million miles over 120,000 hours in revenue service.
TCAT also offers complementary ADA Paratransit services through a subcontractor, Gadabout.

Work Details
The third party will supply a MOD dispatch system with hardware and software to provide a platform to create itineraries and dispatch vehicles in real-time. The system shall include features for customer interface requirements, driver interface requirements, administration and dispatch requirements, and general requirements.
TCAT, Inc. desires to launch the service in Summer/Fall 2024.

Period of Performance
The contract term is for 3 years with 5 one-year extensions.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at TCAT, Inc.'s facility located at 737 Willow Avenue, Ithaca, NY 14850.
