Background
The Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC), part of The City University of New York (CUNY), is seeking qualified vendors to provide training for the Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) program on behalf of the State University of New York Manhattan Educational Opportunity Center (SUNY MEOC). This initiative aims to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to become certified phlebotomy technicians through a structured training program.
Work Details
The vendor will coordinate the Manhattan EOC Phlebotomy Training Program, providing a minimum of 80 contact hours of training. This includes at least 30 venipuncture procedures and 10 capillary sticks performed on live individuals.
Additional instructional staff, such as a secondary instructor or lab assistant, must be provided as needed. The vendor must also be flexible in increasing instructional time to accommodate diverse student learning needs. Deliverables include identifying necessary supplies, submitting daily attendance sheets, providing final grades, assessing participant progress, and advising on healthcare industry developments that may impact training.
Period of Performance
Training cycles will occur over the course of several semesters, specifically from Summer 2025 through June 30, 2026.
