Background
The Office of General Services (OGS) is issuing a solicitation for the replacement of the roof at the Work Control Office, Building No. 87, located at the Groveland Correctional Facility in Sonyea, NY. This project is part of the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision's efforts to maintain and improve state facilities. The goal of this contract is to ensure the structural integrity and functionality of the building through necessary roofing work.

Work Details
The contract involves construction work specifically focused on replacing the roof of Building No. 87 at the Groveland Correctional Facility. The estimated contract amount is between $250,000 and $500,000. Bidders must provide a bid security amounting to $22,800. Successful bidders will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond for 100% of the contract amount.

The project design commenced on or after January 1, 2020, making it subject to specific provisions regarding Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs) participation, with an overall goal of 30%, including 15% for MBE and 15% for WBE participation. Additionally, there is a goal of 6% participation for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOBs).

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is set at 303 days from the date the Agreement is approved by the Comptroller.
