Rad Tech Diagnostic Imaging Expansion Project

Background
The Rad Tech Diagnostic Imaging Expansion Project is initiated by SUNY Orange for its Newburgh Campus located at Kaplan Hall. The project aims to enhance the facilities related to radiologic technology, thereby supporting the educational mission of the college and improving healthcare training capabilities.

Work Details
The project includes various construction activities and installations as outlined in the specifications and drawings. Key components include:
- Selective demolition of existing structures as per Division 02 specifications.
- Construction of a new X-Ray suite, including:
- Cold-formed metal framing (Division 05)
- Interior architectural woodwork (Division 06)
- Thermal and moisture protection (Division 07)
- Openings such as hollow metal doors and frames (Division 08)
- Finishes including gypsum board and resilient tile flooring (Division 09)
- Special construction for radiation protection (Division 13).
- Installation of plumbing systems (Division 22), including water supply and drainage systems.
- HVAC systems (Division 23) for air handling.
- Electrical systems (Division 26) covering lighting, power circuits, and fire alarm systems.

Period of Performance
The entire work covered under this contract must be completed within 60 consecutive calendar days after the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The contract work will be performed at SUNY Orange's Newburgh Campus, specifically in Kaplan Hall.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide proof of responsibility as required by the Owner. Each bid must include a bid bond or certified check for ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount. Bidders are required to submit a non-collusion bidding certificate and must comply with local labor laws, including prevailing wage rates. Additionally, bidders must have experience with similar projects completed within the last five years.
