This Request for Information ( RFI ) is intended to support NYPAs understanding of the value and relevant market data, current industry considerations, and information on proposed reuse opportunities from interested stakeholders ( Respondents ). A deep understanding of this information will assist the New York Power Authority ( NYPA ) in finalizing its proposed approach for the adaptive reuse of the existing Kent Small Natural Gas Power Plant site, located at 49 River Street, Block 2376, Lot 6, Brooklyn, NY 11249 (the Kent site ), including the formulation of a possible formal Request for Proposals ( RFP ).

As New York State transitions to a clean energy future, and as NYPA pursues the goals laid out in its VISION2030 Strategic Plan, NYPA is looking to pursue opportunities to ensure continued efficient utilization of its sites.

Background
The New York Power Authority (NYPA) is the largest state public power organization in the U.S., operating 16 generating facilities and over 1,550 circuit-miles of transmission lines. NYPA's mission includes providing low-cost electricity and supporting New York State's clean energy transition as outlined in its VISION2030 Strategic Plan.

This Request for Information (RFI) aims to gather insights on adaptive reuse opportunities for the Kent Small Natural Gas Power Plant site located at 49 River Street, Brooklyn, NY. This effort is part of NYPA's commitment to efficiently utilize its sites while adhering to the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (Climate Act).

Work Details
