The Hudson Valley Developmental Disabilities Services Office (HVDDSO) intends to award the contract to the most responsible vendor who meets the requirements detailed in the scope of work.
Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor and materials necessary to design new egress stairs and a ramp. Specific tasks include:
1. Designing new egress stairs to replace existing stairs from the second floor leading down to the parking area.
2. Designing a new ramp to replace the existing ramp from the front door to the driveway.
3. Ensuring designs comply with ADA guidelines and current NYS Code.
4. Utilizing specified materials:
a. Stainless steel for brackets/post bases/fasteners, or equivalent if unavailable.
b. High-quality #2 grade lumber or better.
c. Composite decking materials like Trex or equivalent.
d. ADA standard PVC coated aluminum railings.
e. Installing ADA compliant handrails.
5. Conducting a quality control inspection with the Plant Superintendent upon completion.
