Description

The NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets intends to procure Pest Control Services pursuant to its discretionary authority under State Finance Law Section 163 (6). All necessary quote documents have been attached to this posting.

Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials and equipment to implement the surveillance, inspection, trapping and pesticide aspects of the program.

Background
The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets is seeking to procure Pest Control Services for the New York State Fairgrounds.
The goal of this contract is to maintain an environment that is reasonably free of pests during the operational period of the Fair, which aligns with the agency's mission to ensure agricultural health and safety.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all necessary labor, materials, and equipment to implement pest control services including surveillance, inspection, trapping, and pesticide application.
Services include:
- Year-round inspections and treatments on a monthly basis during spring/summer and bi-monthly during winter.
- On-call inspections and treatments during Fairtime (9:00 AM - 10:00 PM).
- A flat rate for normal pest control services that includes all vehicle and equipment charges.
- Monthly invoicing detailing labor, parts, materials, and signed time sheets for all labor.
- Compliance with prevailing wage rates as attached.
- Specific pest management for rodents (including traps and bait boxes), flies (with a fly abatement program post-Fair), bees, wasps, and other pests such as rats, mice, cockroaches, ants, silverfish, bats.
- All personnel must be licensed as Commercial Pesticide applicators in relevant categories.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from May 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the New York State Fairgrounds located in Syracuse, NY.
