Background
The New York Power Authority (NYPA) is a public benefit corporation engaged in the generation and transmission of electricity for the benefit of the people of New York State. Work Details
The contractor will provide inspection services for GE 220600KVA hydrogen cooled generators model 7FH2-GTG. The scope includes:
1. **Partial Discharge Analysis**: Assess the insulation system by comparing recent readings with historical data using BusTrac and GuardII systems without additional portable testing.
2. **Rotor Flux Analysis**: Conduct on-line air-gap magnetic flux measurements to detect shorted turns in rotor windings using a flux probe installed in the air gap between rotor and stator. Data collection will focus on CT7A, CT7B, and ST7 rotor windings.
3. **End Turn Vibration Analysis**: Utilize 12 VibroSystems FAO-100 vibration sensors connected to a PCU-5000 Instrumentation unit to gather voltage readings at various load points and compare them with historical measurements for condition assessment.
Period of Performance
The contract will be effective for five years from the date of issuance, with an option to renew for additional one-year periods.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations within the Southeast New York region, including Zeltmann Power Plant & Poletti Administration Building located at 31-03 20th Ave, Astoria, NY 11105, and Flynn Power Plant located at 607 Union Avenue, Holtsville, NY 11742.
