The Lake Champlain – Lake George Regional Planning Board (LCLGRPB) is a federally recognized Economic Development District for Clinton, Essex, Hamilton, Warren, and Washington Counties in New York State. It is seeking proposals for Outsourced Accounting & Financial Services. This initiative aims to transition the agency's financial management from external support provided by Washington County to in-house operations. The selected contractor will play a crucial role in this transition by providing core accounting services and advisory support.
Work Details
The contractor will provide services across four main areas:
1) **Financial Transition and Advisory Services**: This includes assessing current financial records, guiding software selection and implementation, revising financial policies, training staff, identifying compliance gaps, and providing advisory support to the Executive Director.
2) **General Bookkeeping Services**: Maintaining general ledger accounts, conducting monthly reconciliations for multiple bank accounts, preparing journal entries, and generating financial statements.
3) **Financial Reporting**: Preparation of various financial statements and reports required by funding agencies.
4) **Grant Accounting and Compliance**: Ensuring adherence to federal guidelines and maintaining audit-ready documentation for grant-funded expenditures.
Period of Performance
The contract duration is set for two years with an option for renewal for an additional two years.

Bidder Requirements
Proposals are encouraged from NYS Certified Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE), and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOB).
