Brief Project Background
To prevent disqualification from consideration, Bidders are advised to pay
close attention to the details, dates, time, and other requirements set forth
in the Project Manual.
The Existing Operating Room Scrubs Sinks within the Operating Room
Suite, located on the Second Floor of the University Hospital of Brooklyn
(UHB) has experienced repeated malfunction. This construction project
calls for hands' free sinks, removal of existing plumbing, and electrical
work to power the hands-free sensor.

Bids must be submitted in duplicate in accordance with the instructions
contained in the Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each
bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid.
It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New
York to encourage minority business enterprise participation in this project
by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected
to cooperate in implementing this policy. Contract Goals have been
determined for this Project as follows MBE goal: 18.90%; WBE Goal:

Background
The State University of New York at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is issuing a solicitation for the construction project titled 'Operating Room Scrub Sinks' to address repeated malfunctions of existing scrub sinks in the Operating Room Suite at the University Hospital of Brooklyn.

A Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB) participation goal of 6% is also established for this contract. Bidders must comply with New York State business registration requirements and provide evidence of a completed New York State Uniform Contracting Questionnaire (Vendor Responsibility Questionnaire) within 48 hours after bid opening.
