On-Call Construction Management Services

Background
Nassau Community College (NCC), a member of the State University of New York system, is a comprehensive institution dedicated to providing high-quality education and support services at affordable tuition. The College serves primarily Nassau County and offers over 100 degree programs to approximately 17,000 students. NCC is seeking proposals for On-Call Construction Management Services to assist with various projects as assigned by the College, emphasizing the requirements of its Capital Plan.

Work Details
The contractor will provide On-Call Construction Management services, which include:

1) SEQRA review and recommendations for new construction and renovation projects;
2) Assistance in investigating existing conditions for renovations;
3) Retaining licensed land surveyors for certified surveys;
4) Assisting in obtaining proposals for testing surface and subsoil conditions;
5) Value engineering analysis of design documents;
6) Preparing detailed construction cost estimates;
7) Conducting constructability analyses of bid documents;
8) Assisting with bidding processes, including conducting pre-bid conferences and analyzing bids;
9) Preparing project construction schedules using Primavera (P6);
10) Providing on-site representation and coordination during construction;
11) Keeping detailed daily field reports on contractor activities;
12) Inspecting work for conformance with contract documents;
13) Coordinating testing of materials; and
14) Providing monthly progress reports to the College.

Period of Performance
The contract will have an initial term of six (6) years, with one (1) renewal option for an additional one (1) year at the College’s discretion.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at Nassau Community College, located at One Education Drive, Garden City, NY.
