Background
The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA), established in 1967, is a public authority responsible for transportation infrastructure and services within the Buffalo Niagara region. The NFTA operates a diverse range of transportation services, including bus and rail transit systems, as well as overseeing the operation of two airports. This RFP seeks proposals for the procurement and implementation of a new Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Solution from a single vendor to manage Asset Management functionality including Maintenance Operations, System Infrastructure, Training and Certifications, and Capital and Non-Capital Projects.
Work Details
The selected vendor will provide a comprehensive EAM solution that includes core modules for Maintenance Operations, System Infrastructure Maintenance, Training and Certifications, and Capital and Non-Capital Projects Management. Specific tasks include:
- Performing routine maintenance tracking for assets such as bus garages and rail systems.
- Managing compliance inspections for various facilities to ensure safety standards are met.
- Tracking asset condition to estimate capital needs for replacements.
- Overseeing work orders and access permits management.
- Managing real estate acquisitions and maintenance.
- Providing training programs to ensure staff are equipped with necessary skills.
The solution must be SaaS/cloud-based with no customizations required, ensuring ease of use and integration with existing systems.
Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon execution by both parties and will extend for ten years. This consists of an initial implementation phase of four years followed by six annual renewal options at NFTA's discretion. Implementation is expected to begin around July 2026.
