Background
The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets (AGM) is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) to invite qualified bidders to provide Midway Services, which include rides, attractions, games, and concessions for the Great New York State Fair from 2025 through 2034.
The Fairgrounds, located in Syracuse, New York, cover a 375-acre site and host a multi-day event that showcases agricultural practices and traditions of the state. Work Details
The Contractor will be responsible for providing a variety of rides and attractions appealing to all ages, including but not limited to:
- A minimum of 55-70 mechanical rides categorized as Spectacular, Thrill, Family, and Kiddie rides.
- At least one new 'Spectacular' ride each year and three new rides per category annually.
- Games of chance or skill with prizes.
- Concessions including food and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Operation of the Broadway Skyliner attraction with at least 100 compatible double-passenger chairs each year.
- A reliable electronic ticketing system for all ticket sales.
- Maintenance of cleanliness throughout the Midway area.
- Staffing plan submission detailing employee roles and background checks.

The contract will commence on April 1, 2025, and end on September 30, 2034.
