Description

The Finger Lakes DDSO is soliciting bids to Design two bathrooms at our Middle Cheshire IRA located at 4301 Middle Cheshire Rd, Canandaigua, NY 14424. Architect/Engineer will be responsible to attend the mandatory site visit to take place on Thursday, February 20, 2025 @ 10:00am to verify knowledge of the area for which service is being requested prior to bid submission. Bids will not be accepted before the site visit or from vendors that do not attend this site visit. Vendors may also be disqualified from bidding if they arrive late to the site visit.

Prevailing Wage is not a requirement of this project.

Background
The Finger Lakes Developmental Disabilities Service Office (DDSO) is issuing a solicitation for bids to design two bathrooms at the Middle Cheshire IRA located at 4301 Middle Cheshire Rd, Canandaigua, NY 14424. The agency's mission is to provide support and services to individuals with developmental disabilities. The goal of this contract is to ensure the renovation of the bathrooms meets specific design standards and requirements outlined by OPWDD.

Work Details
The Design Vendor shall provide all labor and materials necessary for a comprehensive drawing design and specification generation for the renovation of two bathrooms. The scope includes:

1. Design Services that comply with OPWDD requirements, including adherence to various codes such as 14 NYCRR 635, NFPA Life Safety Code, and NYS Uniform Building Code.

2. Drawing Designs and Specifications must include construction details, material descriptions, dimensions, profiles, finishes, and applicable schematics.

3. All documents must be provided in Adobe (.pdf) format and CAD files for future use.

4. Document submissions are required at routine intervals with a final submission upon 100% completion.

5. The contractor must provide two sets of 24” x 36” blueprints upon completion.

6. A time schedule for design services and a probable construction cost estimate based on current pricing must be included in the proposal.

Period of Performance
The contract term is set for 30 days after the completion of the project. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for February 20, 2025, at 10:00 AM, with bids due by February 28, 2025, at 8:00 PM.
