Background
The Hudson Valley Developmental Disabilities Services Office (DDSO) is issuing a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the renovation of a bathroom at the Mid-Hudson 1 IRA located at 50A Leonard Street, Middletown, NY. The goal of this contract is to improve the facilities in accordance with state regulations and to ensure that the work meets the necessary standards for public works projects.
The contractor will be required to provide all labor and materials necessary for the completion of the project, which includes partial demolition and installation of new fixtures and finishes.
Work Details
The contractor shall perform the following tasks:
1. Demolish floor to subfloor, walls, and ceiling in shower area down to bare studs; remove vanity and toilet; all tiled walls to be removed.
2. Install new ceiling in shower area with moisture-proof sheetrock painted flat white.
3. Replace existing toilet with a new Gerber Viper 1.28gpf two-piece compact elongated toilet in white.
4. Remove existing plumbing for a Parker tub and replace it after wall installation.
5. Install an epoxy floor with a waterproofing membrane, mortar blend aggregate base sloped to floor drains, and apply Sherwin Williams Resuflor Aqua epoxy flooring with flakes and textured non-stick surface.
6. Install Durock on wall studs in shower area and Transolid rigid wall panels supplied by HVDDSO from z-channel to ceiling using silicone adhesive and caulking at joints.
7. Replace vanity including faucet and new supply/drain lines.
Period of Performance
The work must be completed within 30 days of receiving the purchase order.

Bidders must demonstrate two years of relevant experience on similar projects and provide their New York State Department of Labor registration number at the time of bid submission. Subcontracting is not allowed for this project.
