Background
The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets (AGM) is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) to invite qualified bidders to submit proposals for marketing, advertising, and public relations services.
The goal of this contract is to promote the annual Great New York State Fair and assist in marketing the Fairgrounds and its facilities for non-Fair events.
The selected contractor will play a crucial role in enhancing the visibility and appeal of the Fair and its year-round offerings.
Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing comprehensive marketing, advertising, and public relations services, which include but are not limited to:
- Developing a strategic marketing plan for the Great New York State Fair.
- Creating promotional materials such as brochures, flyers, and digital content.
- Implementing advertising campaigns across various media platforms including print, radio, television, and online.
- Managing public relations efforts to enhance the image of the Fair and Fairgrounds.
- Coordinating with external promoters for non-Fair events at the Fairgrounds.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period that aligns with the annual schedule of the Great New York State Fair and includes year-round marketing efforts for the Fairgrounds.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must meet specific Minority/Women Business Enterprise (MWBE) contracting goals:

WBE Goal: 15.00%.
Additionally, there is a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal of 6.00%.
Bidders are encouraged to demonstrate good faith efforts in utilizing certified MWBEs in their proposals.
