Loft Road Bridge Replacement

Background
The Town of Maryland is issuing a solicitation for the replacement of the Loft Road Bridge over Schenevus Creek. Work Details
The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment, and other means of construction necessary for the completion of the bridge replacement project. Specific tasks include:

- Building retaining walls;
- Installing a dry hydrant;
- Performing associated highway work.

The project limits extend approximately 100 feet north and 200 feet south of the bridge, with required work zone traffic control on I-88 for contractor access. The successful bidder must adhere to NYSDOT Standard Specifications finalized on May 1, 2026.

Period of Performance
The work will be substantially completed within 240 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed and is expected to be ready for final payment by October 31, 2028.

The contract will be performed in the Town of Maryland, New York, specifically at Loft Road over Schenevus Creek.

Bidder Requirements
There are no specific M/WBE or SDVOB goals for this project. However, bidders must comply with federal Equal Employment Opportunity clauses and pay prevailing wage rates. Bidders are required to furnish Performance, Payment, and Guarantee Bonds from an acceptable Surety Company for an amount not less than 100% of the accepted bid. All subcontractors must have an approved CCA-2 on file with NYSDOT prior to contract award.
