Description

The City University of New York (CUNY) seeks to procure a robust, web-based integrated discovery system that will seamlessly integrate with CUNY's existing web-based library management system known as Alma.
This system will serve over 250,000 students, faculty, and staff across more than 30 libraries, offering a unified platform for accessing the wealth of resources available within our consortium. The desired discovery system must enhance the user experience, streamline library workflows, and support the diverse needs of our academic community.

By meeting requirements, the proposed discovery system will uniquely fit the needs of CUNY Libraries, leveraging our existing Alma infrastructure to provide a comprehensive, user-friendly, and efficient platform for resource discovery and access. This system will support our mission to provide equitable access to information and foster academic success across our diverse and dynamic university community.

1. Offerer's Affirmation of Understanding of and Agreement pursuant to State Finance Law 139-j(3) and 139-j(6)(b)
2. Offerer's Disclosure of Prior Non-Responsibility Determinations and Certification of Compliance with State Finance Law 139-j and 139-k .

Background
The City University of New York (CUNY) is seeking to procure a robust, web-based integrated discovery system that will seamlessly integrate with its existing library management system known as Alma. Work Details
The proposed discovery system must:
- Integrate with Alma for real-time synchronization of bibliographic data and holdings.
- Support centralized configuration and management through Alma.
- Provide a single search interface for all library resources including physical items and digital collections.
- Feature a modern, responsive user interface optimized for desktop and mobile devices.
- Include integrated analytics tools for data-driven decision-making.
- Offer advanced search functionality with full-text searching and facet filtering.
- Allow customization of facets and filters to meet user needs.
- Comply with accessibility standards for individuals with disabilities.
- Facilitate seamless interlibrary loan processes.

Implementation services will include configuration, training, data migration services specific to each campus, and ongoing maintenance support.

Period of Performance
The contract term will be five years, commencing on or around April 1, 2025.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations across New York State as required by CUNY.
