Nassau Regional Off-Track Betting Corporation ( NROTB ) is seeking proposals from qualified individuals and entities authorized to do business in the State of New York to repair and replace the roof at the OTB Branch located at 2680 Hempstead Turnpike, Levittown, New York 11756. A contractor may be selected from among responding entities or persons based on a thorough analysis of each Contractor.
To assist in preparing the Proposal, Proposer is required to schedule a mandatory site inspection of the roof. During the scheduled time, a Proposer shall be provided access to inspect the roof in order to assist in preparing its response to this RFP.
To be considered eligible to submit a Proposal in response to this RFP, Proposers (including principals) must have previous experience providing services of similar scope and scale as those identified in this RFP. Proposals that fail to meet this requirement may be found non-responsive and rejected.
The Proposal Price must include a single price for all fees and services that the bidder may charge NROTB in connection with the services listed thereon. NROTB is not permitted to pay any additional fees or charges that were not included in this RFP. Therefore, any applicable charges should be included in the proposal.
Neither the selection of a Contractor nor the issuance of a Notice of Award shall constitute NROTB's acceptance of the Proposal or a binding commitment on behalf of NROTB to enter into a contract with the Proposer, as any binding arrangement must be set forth in definitive documentation signed by both parties and shall be subject to all requisite approvals. NROTB intends to enter into contract negotiations with the Proposer(s) selected who shall be required to enter into a written contract(s), in form and substance satisfactory to NROTB. This RFP and the Proposal, or any part thereof, may be incorporated into and made a part of the contract(s). The contract(s) may contain provisions not contained herein.

Background
The Nassau Regional Off-Track Betting Corporation (NROTB) is seeking proposals from qualified individuals and entities authorized to do business in New York to repair and replace the roof at the OTB Branch located at 2680 Hempstead Turnpike, Levittown, New York 11756.
The goal of this contract is to ensure the integrity and functionality of the roof structure, which is essential for the operations of the OTB Branch.
Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. South Portion of Flat Roof (approximately 1000 sq. ft.):
- Remove two existing roof drains and discard. Expose existing water-soaked insulation and close voids in decking with equal material. Install .22 gauge galvanized B-deck, followed by 20 PSI polyiso roof insulation, ensuring proper pitch to new drains.
- Install Firestone self-adhering base sheet over insulation and thermally fuse Firestone APP 160 smooth surface modified membrane over it.
- Supply and install two Zurn Z-100 cast iron roof drains at low water ponding areas, including necessary cutouts in roofing and insulation.
- Thermally fuse approximately 1000 sq. ft. of Firestone APP smooth surface modified membrane over existing membrane roof.
- Connect new drains using 4" no-hub cast iron piping to existing drainage system, coordinating with NROTB personnel.
- Clean all work areas and dispose of debris.
2. North, West, and South Shingle Roof:
- Remove all existing shingles from designated areas including hip roofs and mansard roofs.
- Inspect wooden substrate post-removal for necessary replacements (initial bid includes 100 sq. ft.).
- Install GAF Weather watch Ice and Water Shield on leading edges, GAF Timberline Architectural HDZ shingles with a lifetime guarantee from the manufacturer, along with other specified materials such as vent pipe flashing and ridge vent systems.
Period of Performance
The work must commence within thirty days of executing a contract or obtaining necessary permits (if applicable), continuing until completion without interruption except for weather conditions.

The contract will be performed at the Levittown Branch located at 2680 Hempstead Turnpike, Levittown, New York 11756.
